20.01.20 Legendary art critic Lyudmyla Volodymyrivna Tverska died. For the past five years, she has been the chief art critic at the Museum of Ukrainian Painting. Prior to that, she worked for a long time at the Dnipropetrovsk Art Museum. She started there as a guide, and in 1988 she was approved as the director of the museum. Ludmila Tverskaya was born on February 28, 1940 in Rostov-on-Don, in a family of artists. The mother insisted that her daughter go to study art history, graduated from the Leningrad State Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. I. Repin in 1963. In the seventies she came to Dnepropetrovsk. Here she researched and popularized the works of artists of the Dnieper region. She was also one of the founders of the Vadim Sidur School of Contemporary Fine Arts and Design in Dnipro.
